(Essenian Prayer)

Almighty Lord, You who have no name and who are Memory across the eternity of Time, You who are unconditional Forgiveness and who know the story of my soul, heal me of the weight of my past.

You who, before my birth, read in my mother’s womb, You who heard the throbbing of my heart before its first beat and who gathered the tears of my past hardships, heal me of my memories.

You who sent me forth to tread this earth and who gave me full liberty to walk and grow, as well as to stumble there, free me from the roots of doubt.

You who allowed me to sample all forms of attachment, heal me of my appetite for bondage.

You who saw me grow, regress and often refuse the hand You held out to me, You who saw me  become mired, even to the point of denying Your Presence at  the very core of my being, heal me of my lack of love and my selfish blindness.

You who carried me when I could no longer carry myself and who stepped aside so that I might better measure my arrogance, You who allowed me to confuse  myself for my shadow, use force and words that slay, heal me of my armored skin.

You who know my wounds and who read each furrow carved in my heart, You who forgive each one of my weaknesses and who unendingly trust in me whereas I know  so little know how to love You in me,  heal me of forgetting You.

Almighty Lord, You who have no name and who are Memory across the eternity of Time, You who are unconditional Forgiveness, heal me of my past by the Beauty and the Power of Your eternal Present in me as in all beings and things.
